On July 2, 2026, the EMA General Assembly was held. At the assembly, Slovenia, along with Armenia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Serbia, was admitted to the EMA
From the very beginning of the association’s existence, we had a vision of joining the EMA so that Slovenians could represent their country at official EMA tournaments, as well as at European and world championships.
On July 2, 2026, after two years of successful operation by the association, our goal finally came true!
Starting July 20, 2026, members of the Riichi Mahjong Club of Ljubljana and its branches will be able to obtain an EMA number, which they will use to represent Slovenia and the club at EMA mahjong competitions and even at world championships!
By participating in EMA tournaments, they will also climb the European player rankings.
